I'm still up at 5:30 and found this. This insomnia is freaking awful! Omg. I'm 4 weeks out and have had it for 2 weeks.

Guess I'm gonna have to check into sleeping meds. This just sucks. I wonder y it happens?

I hope it passes soon too?!?!

Yes it's awful. They put me on ambien and appears to be working. Thank heavens! Thought I was going to go crazy after the 3 rd night of not sleeping. Lol. Call you pcp!!

I've had insomnia since 2004. Even before I had rny. I can't do ambien bc unfortunately I'm a sleep walker' date=' texter, journaler, talker and I get up and cook toast...o.O they put me on restoril and I take that only when my benedryl doesn't work. I'm not even going to share the mg here with you guys bc you'd all freak but lets just say o go through a bottle of diphenhydramine at least twice a week. Its either that or do something insane like drive my car on ambien.[/quote']

Yes I have done the Benadryl also. And take 3 at a time but it was not working. Luckily on the ambien I am staying put haha well atleast I think I am! Haha.

LoL yeah u don't know!! My bf tells me or I read the ramblings in my journal Lmao he says one time I shot up and yelled "pots and pans!!" And I said "honey ur so sweet bc u bought me nectar for the bird thingy.. o.O" lol

Blahahahahahaha that's hysterical. Lol.

I used to sleep walk, but my husband is the one with issues while he sleeps. He sleep hovers looking over the edge of the bed, well get up and look out the curtains, hell he even through his ex wife off the bed during his sleep.

Yeah he dies laughing at me and how insane I am. I wrote a last will the other night asleep LoLoL I guess bc my chest has been hurting so bad asleep I'm paranoid Im gonna die I guess lol. I've tested friends and they will say Kel go back to sleep and I will respond okie lol. My son is the same way he rambles in his sleep. Its funny.

My doctor recommended I try melatonin first before he prescribed something and that has really helped. Just a thought if you don't want to take a medication.

After my sleeve yeah I can't sleep sometimes. I hope after my RNY it will go away lol.

It seemed mine got worse. I started having problems in 2004 due to a call I responded to. Since then I've had nothing bit sleep problems. I bet yall can relate to this. . I always say o wished I could lay my head down and go to sleep normally again...I dont see that ever occuring naturally again. However seeing that half the board has this at least I know when I can sleep yall will be here at ,2am to chat with lol

I just had surgery three days ago and I've had the worst time trying to sleep. Tonight was my first night home and I thought that I'd have a good night's sleep but here I am awake at 1:30 in the morning. I need to make an appointment with my PCP anyways as a followup after the surgery. I think i'll discuss with her at that time.

As you can tell by my posts all night long I'm a chronic insomniac.Family trait. Trazadone gets me about five hours...I eat and sleep walk on ambien..and ativan? Too habit-forming for me.Anyone else have to do a sleep study before surgery? I just laughed.I've only had six of them.

I had a sleep study before surgery. I think I got a little over two hours of sleep the whole time. I have trazadone left over from last year when my family was going through a hard time. I'm afraid to take it right now since I just had surgery and I don't know how my body will react. I'll have to talk with my providers and see what would be the best solution.

I was able to get in about two hours of sleep this morning non-stop. Problem is right now I'm feeling so groggy from the lack of sleep and I don't have the energy I need to get up and do things, like eat or take my medicine. I need to remember I just got home and I'm still on the mend, I shouldn't be expected to be up and going non-stop from 7am - 11pm every day.

Trazadone gives me a few hours of sleep. I used to do a combo of ambien and lorazapan until it stopped working for me. I inherited my great aunts insomnia and to tell you rut truth it sucks. Even my bi pap machine does not put or keep me asleep.
