It only took my ins @ 7 business days. I have BCBS. You should get a letter from your ins company that says approved or not. I received my letter before my doctors office did. My surgery is scheduled for Feb. 27

Me too!!! My surgery is Tuesday, it was just sent in yesterday. If I don't get an approval by next Monday surgery will be pushed back. I've only been waiting for one day so far but this is annoying. What ins do u have?

Do you have Bcbs Anthem or another kind?

I started this journey in Aug of last year with BCBS of Pennsylvania. With them I had 6 month wait. Now since Jan1st I changed to BCBS of Texas and there is NO waiting period. So since I already meet all my requirements my dr office submitted my surgery and received an approval.

But from what I understand all BCBS ins changed as of Jan 1st and they have no more waiting periods as long as you meet the requirements
