Most doctors recommend the Flintstones complete. 2 times a day my surgeon doesn't even start you on Calcium until your 3 months post op and Vitamin B12 at around 6-8 weeks post op. They haven't said anything about Iron. I guess I will find out Wednesday

I buy my Vitamins from Celebrate Vitamins. It's a kit. For 3 months of all the vitamins I need is like $140. I have chewable Multi Vitamins which also have the B vitamins. A Calcium plus D supplement (start 6 weeks post op) and a B complex I take twice a week. At 1 week post op my surgeon gave me the clear to swallow my pills. :)

That's the same protocol as my doc. The flint stones each have a fairly high Iron content so mine doesn't require additional iron unless yours gets low.

My doc recommends 2 flint stones complete and B12 in the morning. Flints tones are cheap and I bought the B12 sublinquals when it was BOGO free at my supermarket. So....very cheap there for Vitamins. After 3 weeks, we start calcium citrate. I chose chewables I found at the Vitamin Shoppe for about $15 for a months worth. Doc wants us to take 2 in the afternoon and 2 in the evening. If you can't find an affordable chewable, our NUT has told us that you could dissolve the Calcium citrate tab in Water to take it if you can't tolerate swallowing it. Hope that helps.

YEP! And you can order a sample pack (3-4 days worth) for $3. I kept track of the flavors that I liked and disliked.

celebratevitamins.com

The best part about this site- it SPECIFICALLY for bariatric patients. You choose which procedure you had and they show you the complete cycle of recommended vitamins! IT'S AN AWESOME SITE!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
