Relationships after rny!

I'm about to have gastric bypass on Tuesday ( January 22) and I'm wondering how everyone's relationships with there husbands/wife's or significant others changed after surgery or if it stayed the same.

My relationship with my husband has gotten stronger. I will say other female family members have not treated me well. It's true that others that are used to eating with you etc do not know how to be around you after surgery. It's part jealousy & their own issues with food they haven't dealt with. Keep those that support you close.

Thank you for your kind words... I ask all to pray for me as this has been a very rough time for me. I have been very depressed. I have a hx of bipolar' date=' major depression and high anxiety. I am not on any medications at this time due to exercise prayer and meditation. Every time I work out its like taking an antidepressant due to the release of endorphins. The up side yo this is that my new found confidence has made it easier for me to go out into the world and meet people

My relationship with my husband was strained at first because he did not know what to do but now 3 months later and 52 pounds gone, we are back to normal. He has gotten use to my eatting habits and i catch him looking at me lol. He feels me up a lot! Lol
