Pill got stuck!

Oh my, last night one of my pills got stuck in my esophagus. It's never happened in the whole month following surgery. I had waves of pains then ended up vomiting all the water i used to get it down. I went to bed and woke up and still felt it stuck, but without the pain. I drank 2 cups of hot tea without difficulty, ate my yogurt, but still feel as though something might still be there, like a burning feeling almost. It's at the bottom of my esophagus. Anyone ever experience this? When will the feeling go away?

OH I am so sorry that happened! I had one get stuck but not that bad. It will probably be a bit raw for a while. I would do liquids for the day. Hope you feel better.

I accidently bit a Colace in half the other day. I wanted to DIE. I was horrible tasting and burned.

Thanks, after 3 glasses of hot tea, i think it finally dissolved.

Oh my..i bet that tasted nasty...

I'm so scared of that happening that I'll be crushing my pills for another month, just in case! Did you finally get some relief?

Yes, thanks..it took 3 cups of hot tea though. I'm scared to swallow that pill again..may need to crush it up for a little while. Also, looking back on it, i was gulping water to get it down which probably caused my pouch to tighten...all trial and error..hopefully more trials than errors!!

oye! that mustve sucked! Glad you're better! 2 weeks ago I had one kinda get stuck, my reaction was to chug the milk I was drinking them down with, well, it got the pill down, but was too much for my stomach to handle, so after 20m of waiting out the liquid to pass thru, I couldnt deal with it anymore and brought it up. instant relief! LOL

Yikes that sounds so painful! One of my fears.
