You are indeed very fortunate on the pain and pain meds

What is the pain under our left side? I am almost 3 wks post op and it just started this week- it hurts. Takes my breath away! HELP

The pain on your left side is completely normal. It's your muscles healing. I had it right after my surgery and once in a while I'm still in pain.

From what was reported in a post that is the area that they put the cutter and stapler. So there is a bigger area of healing there. I know it is not any consultation but many of us are complaining about that and the pain in our back.

I was allowed to sleep on my side from beginning-I put pillow between my legs to take some pressure off spine.

I am a side sleeper and could not do this till they took out my drain at one week post op. then had no problems
