First Time Posting

Hi to all,

I have been reading posts made by everyone for a couple of months now and my insomnia has finally lead me to post a little about me...

I recently began my WLS journey. I attended the discovery seminar, the welcoming meeting, and my first appointment with the dr and dietician. My insurance covers the surgery but I do have to do the six month supervision prior. It seems like a life time away. I am going to admit to you all I am terrified of failing. I have failed at so many other things... Can I do this and be successful forever?

I have become so ashamed of my appearance and weight that I have alienated myself from so many people I feel sort of alone in this. I am really hoping to find some friends here.

I appreciate everyone who took the time to read my post.

Good luck in your weight loss journeys!

P.S. I am having a hard time uploading a profile picture so I attached one :) it's always nice to see who your talking to.

Thanks for the welcome! I can't wait to be on the looses bench with the rest of you! So ready to be where you are now :)

Greetings everyone! I too, am new having made my first post yesterday. I find comfort in reading your posts and that others share such similar feelings to those that I have experienced this year. Every day, I went through a roller coaster of emotions. I am 12 weeks post op and am down 60 pounds, 2/3 of the way to my goal. I did this to regain my health. I never allowed myself to get wrapped up in size & style but rather feeling good. However, the benefit of smaller sizes feels pretty darn good. It is a rush when you have to go down a jeans size ... Or even be comfortable wearing jeans! It gives me that push to keep it up. Thank you to all of you for sharing your very personal stories. I understand first hand, as all of you, that this is a lifelong journey and that when one thing changes, you have to rethink everything. I am so happy with my decision to move forward with surgery. I never feel deprived and know that I am in control! I wish all of you the best and applaud you for sharing and being so willing to help each other through this! You are amazing!
