Black Stools

how long after surgery did your stools stop being black? I am 2 weeks out and have had at least 6 normal bowel movements no diarrhea but they are black

Call doc! Do u take Iron. I had dark stools too but it was caused by thw iron. Please call your doc to make sure it is not blood.

no i only take 2 flinstones a day biotin, protonix, synthroid, calcium . I called him Saturday when my 4 ty BM was black he said to monitor it a couple days so I was wondering if y'all had it to cause this mornings bm was black too. also in days i have bm's are the days I get really weak and a little dizzy

thanks I am planning on calling today. I hate doing stuff if it is nothing. I keep saying after one more bowel movement to make sure.

Could be nothing but it's not something to ignore. Call your doctor. If nothing else, you'll have peace of mind when your doctor confirms it's nothing to worry about!
