Vacation & Food!

I'm treating my mom and myself to a 4 day weekend escape to the Dominican Republic next weekend. I just booked everything and I'm excited and then BOOM! It hit me.... What am I going to EAT? I've been there quite a few times and I don't recall too many healthy protein options. I just don't want to upset my pouch so far from home and I don't really want to push my limits. Anyone had to deal with vacationing after bypass??

I have been on vacation two times since my surgery in May. Both times for a week. I took my own protein bars and protein powders. I ate with my family everytime except breakfast. All the breakfast items were carbs and fat! :( I just went and ate before. I would usually just pick off everyone's plates what I could eat. I found lots of seafood options and took off any breading. It is hard and you do have to put effort in to it, but stay stong and you got it!

I would look for chicken and seafood options
