When can I have a basic toasted wheat bread and turkey sandwich? I miss them :(

    I think it all depends on how far post op your are. I am almost 5 months post op and I had my first sandwich this past week. Lettuce and tomato sandwich with toasted whole wheat - boy was that good :) The schedule my doctor has me on is that when you are about 8 wks. post op you can start trying regular food but you must CHEW, CHEW, CHEW, CHEW !!!
