I am 3 1/2 Months post op RNY and have lost 85 pounds. However, I have numbness and tingling in my legs (new), kind of a restless feeling too. Anyone else?

My doctor told me today that the numbness on my legs it's cause by not taking calcium. So I have to take my vitamins, iron & calcium. I had blood work done & I will update on there findings.

I would never imagine not taking calcium would cause numbness in the legs. Eye opening for me. Since yesterday I been faithful with my vitamins.

Yes I have that restless leg feeling to I'm told it happens when our body's detox. Not by a doctor just from people who think they know everything. Doctor says if it's to bad use children's Tylenol will help it to should pass. I hope soon

Good luck

I have numbness and tikling in my left knee. it happend after a surgery i had on it. they fixed a tendant tare . it happend 4 years a go and the numbness gradually went down. what i did is some exercise in bed . i searched youtube for some exercises i can do for people who had a tendant repair in the knee. just remember that if you exercise the numbness area it should be a gentil exercise. good luck.

I do as well, I'm about 6 weeks post op and right out of surgery I had numbness in my right hand and leg, which has moved to include tingling as well. I noticed that as I moved thru recovery, the swelling & Water subsided from these areas, but now that the swelling is all but gone, it's become very painful.

I bought an ace bandage for my foot, ankle & lower leg, I have it on now and it feels WONDERFUL & has caused the tingling to subside substantially...

Just an idea but low potassium and magnisium can cause leg cramps or tingling, Good luck!

I eat bananas every day atleast one a day and it made the leg cramps and tingling go away and I'm 6 months post op. I notice a big difference if I don't eat a banana.
