What Are Our Calorie Limits?

Recommended Posts

I have my meal plans and I'm following them, but no where does it say our limits? What have you been told? I use nome to track my calories and I stay between 3-400 calories. I'm definatly not eating all I'm allowed so I got to thinking about the calorie limits. I'm also mad because I only lost 4 lbs this week and was at approximatly 1850 calories for the week total. My husbad told me I'm eating too much! I am supper angry about his criticism with nothing to base it on except I was able to eat more tomatoe then he felt was acceptable for dinner today .....Ahh ppl always have an oppinion of a fat chick eating. He is so on my shit list right now.

You need calories for your body to say to itself " hey it's ok to let go of some weight that's wut I think and also Protein !!!! I heard if u don't get enough u will not lose weight either hope it helps

I should be consuming 800 calories per day minium. I'm not taking in half 400cal. I'm hardly ever hungry. I don't have head hunger or anything. When I'm actually hungry I eat if I'm not I can go days with out eating just drinking Water. When I eat it's healthy salmon fish I had pickles yesterday so delicious but zero calories. I eat mash potatoes. Occasional steak. Can't keep pork or chicken down. Certain cheese.< /p>

My doctor has not given me a calorie restriction. Just give amounts of food you should eat, example, 3-4 oz of fish, or 2-4 oz. fat free cheese, or 1/2 cup of veggies etc. etc. It sounds like you are eating too few calories and your body is in starvation mode which lowers your metabolism to conserve every drop of food it gets because it does not know when you will get more food. Pls. eat 3 meals a day and follow your doctors orders. Eat good healthy low fat, food.

Thank you all! My head agrees that I'm likely not eating enough. Its 3:15 and I've yet to eat, I'm not hungry. So ill try eating 3 meals hungry or not. My tomatoe thing is because I do love them and yes its a virtually free meal.

I am still struggling with food fear. The little skinny Bitch in my head tells me if I eat, ill never stop being fat (lol). I focus on Protein, no carnal yet for me. I still can't hit my grams a day. If I drink the Protein Shake I'm fearful of the amount of calories like 200 almost. I'm trying to get it through real food.

Work in progress.....

There is a difference in what the food is in regards to how much you can eat??? I thought 1oz a meal everything combined... And then at 6 months 2oz entire meal.. For life???

I don't weigh in until tomorrow but I can say the replys helped! Let's say I could tell I was out of starvation mode via the ladies room. I was clearly not taking in enough calories and just sticking to three meals made a huge change. Thank you.

I was told by my doctor I should be eating around 800 calories and wont go over 1000 for quite awhile. Also I was told to eat about 1/3 c to 1/2 c food at a meal. If it is mushie I find myself easily going over that 1/2 c, but I have yet to actually eat 800 calories but I am now finally eating regularly about 750 a day . I was told 3 meals and two Snacks and to make sure I do eat some fruit and veg. I tend to eat 2-3 oz Protein (but some fish is sooo soft I can eat 4 o 1 which helps with Protein intake) and 1 to 2 oz of veg or fruit. I eat two high protein Snacks of things like Jerky, cheese etc, and always carry them with me just in case.

Make sure you are getting in enough protein, Water, and Vitamins daily.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
