My name is Barbie, Im 35 years old, and im having gastric bypass surgery in 2 -3 weeks. I am currently a Type #2 diabetic and Im insulin dependent.

I have been denied a few times by insurance, but finally got the okay last march 2012. I just found this site/app and I love it!!

I realize I have a long, RoCkY road ahead of me, but im willing to work hard and fight everyday to be healthy.

My name is Jacee and I'm 23, female and living in Australia. I go in for my RNY bypass on the 25th of May. I originally had Lapband surgery, and was very successful until my band slipped. I can't wait to start my new journey

Good luck to everyone who is having the surgery. Its definitely a lifestyle change and takes some getting use to. I'm 5 and a half weks post op

I agree you are all on your way to a much better quality of life. I'm 5 weeks postop and except for being exhausted all the time I have no regrets!! Good luck! Let us know how you all are doing!

The exhaustion goes away. Your insides are still healing:) I'll be 6 weeks post op on Wednesday and each day I feel just a little better. Also I was told that your liver is metabolizing high levels of fat and it (your liver) gets exhausted from all of the hard work its doing:)

Hi every one my name is jackie and i am 8 years yes years post op and dont regret it at all. It is life changing but worth it. Pre op i was 270 ils and am now had have been 148 for a few years i even had my 2 child 4years out of surgery and stayed healthy during the pregnacy and was able to loose the extra weight which i am not gona lie scared me. I now enjoy getting dressed up and going to parties not to mention vacations but most of all i now enjoy my life and no longer obsess on how heavy i am. I wish you all much success and congrats on getting approved. Ps there will be days in the beginning that you may say why did i do this but stick threw it that part is only temporary. And the long term is so worth it.
