My story is actually boring...

Recommended Posts

Hi, my name is April and I'm an Oklahoma girl :) I was actually a member on here previously (strangelynormal-yes, that's me with the hot pink hair) but once I tried to sign back in I couldn't because I no longer had access to the previous email. It was just a hassle so I said screw it and created this account.

I was almost a self-pay in Mexico, but lo and behold, I finally had insurance that covers the sleeve... so I didn't go that route.

I have a few more appointments and then I'll be sleeved in either Dec or Jan.

I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I have learned a lot from this forum and appreciate all of the help it offers.

Laters :)

I bet there's a lot more to your story and it's not quite as boring as you make it sound! ;-) Welcome back!

Thanks, I was pretty thrilled about it. Weird how fate intervenes and changes everything.

Sorry, your best bet is to call your insurance company. Mine is Medicare Humana Gold. I went straight to my bariatric center and they did everything for me, though.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
