Should i be worried?

I had the sleeve done 14 days ago today and have lost about 20 lbs!!! However I have not had a bowl movement in 16 days:(. I have taken milk of magnesia, laxative, fiber and a few other things. Is this normal?

My surgeon says if we go more than five days and milk of magnesia and laxatives aren't working, we need to call his office for a prescription for something stronger and possibly have an in-person appointment. Fecal impaction is nothing to mess around with . . .

I did an enema a few days ago and a little came out but that's it TMI!

Nope... see/call the MD. You want this resolved. I am lucky, after the first couple weeks I have been OK. (PS, there's never TMI here...)

You have to realize you are eating very little so you have less to come out. We are no longer eating the greasy food we were eating before surgery that acted like a lube to make things come out easier.

With that saying I think I didn't have a good bowl movement till 3-4 weeks after surgery. Not because it wouldn't come out but because there was nothing to come out.

At 8 moths out I am lucky I go every 2-3 days now.

Too long! Call Dr. I fully agree less in less out but 16 days is a long time especially with an enema in there.
