Did anyone receive a script for a "GI cocktail"?

I just filled this script out. I'm 4 days out.

300ml Maalox

100ml 2% viscous lidocaine

100ml Donnatal

All mixed together, i take 50ml every 8 hours.

It's numbed my lips and throat and my throat feels full. I'm kind of afraid to drink anything now because i can't really tell if i'm full.

It's def a weird feeling.

(I don't know if that spelling is correct, docs handwriting is...well, you know.)

you are right with the spelling. The only time I've seen this given was for bad heartburn esp. from a "sliding" hiatel hernia. If you just have bad GERD you probably only need protonix or Prilosec. No fun with a numb mouth. Good Luck.

I had the hiatel hernia, it was very mild though. I had an acidy taste in the back of my throat when i didn't eat for hours. No heart burn.

I'm just wondering about all these meds.
