five days out..advice pls?

Hello im five days out almost from surgery. July 31 was my date I had vsg. I had a fever yesterday of 101. Took tylonel and got it down. I'm noticing a trend, my temp goes up after eating protien shakes, even different brands. Is thier a connection? Nurse said it was regular to get temps in the first week. Any advice?

I'm grateful for the posting of this topic. This is the kind of stuff that would FREAK me out after surgery and so pre-surgery I can do my freaking out with you. I ordered Alex's Big Book on Gastric Sleeve. In the complications section it lists all these very non-specific symptoms that may indicate a leak or an infection -- fever is one of them (along with shortness of breath, etc). That said, if your doctor's office is calm about it and says it is normal, I'm sure it is. Please keep us posted on how you are doing!

I feel pretty good today. Main incision where they did the most of the work still pings pain sometimes. But I had my one week followup with the doctor and everything was normal. So Yahoo!

Now if I can just research how you get the glue cover stitches? Or coverings to eventually shed or fall off. They just said it would naturally happen ?

Some slime, throw up, hiccup. I get feverish and hot flashes, I feel like I need to open a window,

Take off some clothing etc...
