Hello everyone,

Tann, you look gorgeous, what a great picture!!! I want to see the before, they are always so inspirational.

This thread makes me feel better because I know I'm not the only one that has a scale that is stuck (Misery loves company, but at least this company isn't giving up hope!!)

I continue to work out every day, even though my regular work out partners all took off for Spring Break, I've been going to the Rec by myself or getting my family to meet me (I had a great work out yesterday playing raquetball with my 14 year old - after he kicked my butt, I moved to another court with the 8 year old because we were a little more evenly matched!).

I also called my doctor and scheduled another fill for Monday - apparently when she didn't put enough back in after she took it out on Tuesday because I have NO Restriction and I need it so I don't eat everything but the kitchen sink (if I had more self control, I wouldn't need the band!) Fortunately, I don't have to wait for weeks before they can get me back in (glad to be in a small town).

Anyway, enough jabbering about me - I'm ready for Boot Camp to start and for everyone to have much success.

You guys obviously know each other pretty well - do you mind doing little mini bios, so I can get to know my bootcamp buddies better??

Later,

Thanks Amy, Sarg is working on my before pics, they're only head shots at the moment until I can get my other before pics scanned or put on a cd.

Anyways, bout the bio? We actually never did one, just started posting and telling our business:heh:

BIO hmmmmm...Ok, I am a 37 year old, married with an 11 year old son...I am a police dispatcher for a near by city for the last 10 years...I live right outside of Dallas Tx where I was born and raised!!I was banded in June of this past year..Started out at 312.5 lbs and as of today I think its about 251...I have had 4 fills in my 4 cc band bringing me to a total of 2.75 on my fills and have pretty good restriction...Im a total nut and love everyone...So, I hope this fills you in a little bit on me...This is just a great place to be girl!!

Avilla, you work in Law enforcement too:heh: so do I. I'm married with 3 young boys (they are the reason I got to over 400 pounds:tired Not really I just loved to eat and do nothing:rolleyes: ) I work in our Records dept. I really love my job this is my 17th year.

I'm 43, married (2 years in April) with three sons who are 17, 14, and 8 - I was a single Mom for 8 years before my eyes were opened to see my soul mate who had been my "friend from church" the whole time I was single. I have been overweight my whole adult life losing and gaining 80 pounds a couple of different times through diet and exercise. Before my band I hit my all time high and felt my all time worst. My life was great but my body was hurting all of the time and I just want my body to feel and look as good as I feel inside. I work at Texas A&M University in the Athletic Ticket Office, so I work a lot of events and crazy hours (that is why I'm here during Spring Break and most people are off) but I've decided to make my work-outs a priority no matter what time of day I need to do them. Work-outs aren't the problem, the food and lack of self-control are. I'm hoping that by making myself accountable to my BootCamp buddies, I can be successful!

Thanks for introducing yourselves, it is fun to find out where everyone is and why they are on this journey.

Blessings to my new friends,

Tann...Yep, 10 years of dispatching...we actually do it all in my office, fire, ems, warrant channel, then we have a north and south channel and answer the 911's...just depending on the day of the week and the luck of the draw of what you are going to be doing the next day...I am just shocked that between the band and my job that I am not totally bald by now...lol...but just 20 more years then I will have my 30 and can retire to the life of luxury...lol...

cdgmom...College Station? My mom use to have to travel there several times a year for her job for some classes...She is the retired assistant fire marshal in the city that I live in...She use to just love those trips...3 boys? you have your hands totally full girl!! lol...My 1 has me running crazy, I couldnt even imagine...lol..but you are 3 blessed of course

My son is just hilarious...He has been sick all week of spring break this week and this is his first real day of feeling good but still has a bad cough...He heard somewhere about starbucks, which I never go to cuz of the prices...But today for some reason or another he said he wanted starbucks coffee for breakfast...So off we go to the only one that I know of in the next town over where I work to get him a coffee...He got the white chocolate mocha with extra cream..He just sat there with a straight back, chest puffed out, sipping his coffee and trying to hold down an adult conversation with anyone that would listen to him...It was just so funny...I figured this was a huge treat for him and told him to not get his hopes up for his daily coffee run....lol

Well, I just finished mowing the backyard and was taking a quick break, now I am off to do some running so my legs can rest before I do my jumprope...No matter how much that rope is trying to kill me, it does burn alot of calories and it seems that I have lost a lb since yesterday since I started using it...So, I will keep it up for a while and see how it goes and if I can last

And I was just noticing all my.........'s that I put in my posts..lol...sorry..that is how we type all day at work when we enter calls to be dispatched so that everything doesnt run together and its easier to read...its just a habit...everyone probably just thought that i was nutz, they would be right i guess...lol

Avilla...I like the(.....)I use them too. I have 3 boys too, show me some pity too:heh:

I went to the gym early this morning (4:45am couldn't sleep) anyways I did 20 min on the Big E and 10min on the TM, and did weights. On the door of our gym it says: "When you enter Law Enforcement you give up the right to be Unfit." ......So true not just LE but also being a mother, wife, or even a person.:biggrin1:

Stop..... Don't let your son get hooked on Starbucks :( - they should put a warning label on their cups, because that stuff is addicting. I've limited myself to week-ends only, during the week, I drink my coffee at work so I don't need to stop, but on the week-ends my hubby usually will go get me my Venti-sugarfree hazelnut-non-fat-latte on Saturday and on Sunday I get my fix at church (yes, we have a real starbucks in our church lobby) they even got Sugar Free Hazelnut just for me!!!!!

Lots of fire training up here, sometimes you think that a bomb has gone off on the outskirts of town because of the smoke at the training center - and boy in the summers when the firemen were in town...... Yowza, of course this was only exciting when I was Single - haha :clap2:

So next week when bootcamp officially starts - what will we be expected to do - journal here everyday or what??

Hey Tann,

How old are your boys??? Have they reached the eating you out of house and home stage????? My 17 year old is a 315 pound Offensive Linemen and my 14 year old has "hollow leg syndrome" - my grocery bill is outrageous, and I'm trying to keep it healthy too!!! AAAACCCCKKKKKK

Actually Amy, Boot camp ENDS for the Spring that is. We were preparing ourselves for the Spring. Sarg, will be starting up a Summer Boot Camp real soon. But yeah just come and post and talk about whatever you want:biggrin1:

:heh: :heh: Amy, my boys are 10,6 & 5. And they can EAT now, I told them by the time they are teens they better be bring in some FOODSTAMPS or get a JOB to pay for the groceries.

I thought the new bootcamp was starting on 3/21 when this one ended?

Where is the sarge to set me straight?????

Tann, you might need a second job or a second mortgage to support three male teens and their eating habits (and let's not even talk about the friends that come over and pig out!!!!) Lot's of cereal and peanut butter!

Yeah where is Sarg:confused: MIA. I always have alot of cereal on hand and P&J. I buy about 10 boxes at a time, only when it's on sale, tho. And the problem is I AM A CEREAL LOVER, so when I cheat this is like one of my favorite treats...Apple Jacks, Foot Loops, Golden Grahams, Cinnomon Grahams, you see the trend....if its sugary it's for me, and I love fruit flavored oatmeal and so do they. I like the plain too. CARBS CARBS CARBS my weakness:tired :think

Oh I know...Some of those firemen can start a fire just by walking into a room..But yep, Im married!!! And I have learned a lesson about fireman and policeman having the highest rate of divorce too..My dad is a retired Dallas fireman and I learned it all at an early age...lol...That just isnt the route for me, but I can sit back and admire them all...And I just love that sign that yall have...We need one like that for our station for some of the older guys...lol

Naw, this startbucks was just a treat..Hes a diabetic now and I have to watch everything that he puts in his mouth basically...But since he hasnt been eating this week and feeling back I felt a need to baby and treat him atleast once...Dang, I couldnt afford to go there that often girl...If he gets hooked on anything it better be the mcdonalds 99 cent coffee with free refills...lol

Well, just finished most of my workout for the day...Did 16 runs and 22 walks around the yard, plus mowed it...So, now off to some laundry and maybe a nap since its my day off...Then and only then will I think about the jump rope workout...I hope that everyone has a wonderful day
