so glad to hear things went well! It gives me hope for my pre-op that you can post on the day of surgery. Maybe it's not as bad as I fear it will be.

Stay healthy and congratulations!

Congrats on your new life.

I also found out my dr made another incision to hold my liver out of the way. I was very thankful for that because when my dad had the gastric bypass his surgeon nicked his liver.

Im allergic to plastic tape, morphine, and coconut. Probably why they hooked me up with the cotton.

Wow! Congrats! Thanks for posting your pic! Doesn't look scary at all. I'm kind of afraid of seeing my incisions after!! I'm getting sleeved on Monday! Good luck to is all!

I HAD MINE DONE 2 WEEKS AGO AND SO FAR SO GOOD!! I'VE LOST 30 LBS ALREADY- I WAS 313 AND NOW 282!!.

Congratulations! Wishing you the best for recovery!

To those that are nervous and quickly nearing surgery, I had a very similar experience. I was sleeved Tuesday 7/23 at about noon. I spent the night at the clinic and had almost no discomfort whatsoever, had great color and it was easy to walk around the nurses station. I was even walking around the station with no escort within a few hours of waking up from the anesthesia. I was discharged yesterday morning at 7am. I'm a little less comfortable at home since the clinic has all the good drugs, but I'm totally mobile, have little pain, no nausea, no vomiting, only minor gas. The hardest part is getting all my meds and fluids down. Showered this morning and still having no problems. Hubby doesn't know what to do with himself since I don't really need care right now.

Best of luck to all!

Congratulations! Welcome to the loser's side! Glad your surgery went well!

Lol I'm a loser

Just stick to the diet and water allowance a day and do a lot of walking around the house to help with the gas pain...

Congratulations! Wishing you a quick/easy recovery!

Congratulations!!! I was sleeved on 7/15 and so far I have only lost 12lbs. I started with 220lbs and now I am down to 208. :-). I had to stay an extra day at the hospital because a Lapband was removed as well. Too me it wasn't painful, the bad part was the gases and of course the hospital bed. :-( and reading all of this post has helped me so much. It keeps motivating me when I see pictures and people mentioning how much weight they have lost. I am praying that this will work for me. I have polio and having so much weight on my legs it's killing me. And once again CONGRATULATIONS to everyone and also thank u for sharing your experience.
