I should eat the teen first but I'm likely to go for the sweetest kid first! Just making my plan right now......

  • I feel like that sometimes too. I'm 5 weeks post-op so I can't get much in but the first 3 weeks I kept picturing myself eating even though I wasn't able to eat.

I had/have had real hunger since I've been sleeved. I get my Water so I know that's not it. At first I thought it was dehydration but nope, I'm just a hungry sleever. It happens sometimes. But I do

Could be head hunger, but also could be dehydration. Are you able to get all your Water in? And... it could be hunger, it happens. How often are you eating?

It happens sometimes. But I do agree with Jersey, make sure you're getting enough water. That does help with hunger.

I had no hunger until 6 weeks out. Then it hit me strong. I learned in my classes that excess stomach acid can mimic hunger so I started taking a PPI and now it's gone :-)

Edited - to add "acid"

Well, I'm getting my water in & I'm taking my PPI & I'm about ready to eat one of my kids! ***HELP*** I have an appt on Monday with the doc so hopefully I'll get to eat more or you'll be reading about me in the newspaper!

I'm with you Pixie Dust! I am 17 days post op and I have been hungry since about Day 5... I'm doing all my fluids, take a PPI, and try to vary my Proteins between chicken and beef broth with powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and my shakes, but truly, I just MISS eating! I fantasize all the time about what I want to eat! I have absolutely no desire for junk... I want meat, vegetables, and I want to enjoy food. I DO feel full with liquids, but it's not the kind of "full" that is like a belly of real food... even if I can only have a small amount once the healing part is over, I know that will satisfy me more than living on liquids!

Hahaha! Pixie! Put the children down!!! It took three days before my PPI worked so hang in there!

Oakley girl, you WILL feel better when you get food. But for me it was a full feeling in a different spot. Closer to my sternum than that lower belly full feeling. It feels like you're full up to your throat.
