What are you doing right now? A liquid diet?

Try to hang in there, what do u think the reason is that your not losing this 5lbs? Is it stress, maybe you need to relax and not be so hard on your self

I have to lose 20 >.<

Could be stress. I've also had a damn period for a month! I've been getting on treadmill for 20-30 min a day. Eating around 1300 cal.

Why do you have to Loose weight,

(a certain number) before surgury? I had to loose some but not a certain number?

It's kaisers rules. I had to loose 20 and I'm down 15

Have you tried increasing your time on treadmill or intensity? Often our bodies adjust to the same routine.

I've been increasing the incline

Try some circuit training. Running for one minute then walking for two, then back up to running for about 30 minutes. After a five minute warm up and a five minute cool down. It really jumpstarts the metabolism. Good luck

Got it! I was going to the some kettle bells too. I just wish I had a surgery date Ana could start liquid diet and get this going!

I had to loose 5lbs and waited until the last week.... I went low carb, very strict and it was off in no time. I was down 7.9# by my appt.

I have to be a certain weight before they will even put me on the schedule :( I'm getting so frustrated and down. My weight keeps going up and down even though I'm doing all the right things.

Yep, you gotta go very low carb--Protein and veggies only, if you need sweet then no more than a cup of strawberries and/or blueberries a day. It sounds crazy, but don't be afraid of real butter, olive oil, and real salad dressing (2 carbs max per serving)--it will help the weight come off.

I lost 85 lbs 2 yrs ago doing this - gained it back of course, because its hard to stick with long term. You don't need long term, you need quick results! I'm now down 43 lbs since mid Feb doing low carb too. My NUT and doc are thrilled, and surgery is in less than 2 weeks!

You can do this!

I'm kaiser too. Its not hard to do a liquid 2 week pre op diet lose ur weight. Go see the nut get approved then do it again when the surgeon tells u to. I made my weight awhile ago & have just coasted since then.
