Well my friend had a bypass and they gave her one to warn about NG tube.

Whats a NG tube ?? Sorry never heard of it..maybe she had other conditions that would cause the need for it..but with the sleeve I dont think you would

I google it..it said for bypass patients should have one because of NSAIDS..might read no NSAIDS..I havent heard of anyone having it on this site yet..but its up to you to get one..that was a good questions but alot of the stuff I found online is saying bypass patients should have it

I work in a hospital ER and I will get a bracelet (one of the ones that doesn't look like the traditional medical alert bracelets) for one reason. What if I am unconscious for whatever reason (trauma/drug reaction) and my family is not avaiable, I want the treating physician to know this there are several treatments done in haste that would need to be modified if you stomach can not handle the traditional volume. Better safe than sorry.

A LOT smaller about 4 oz capacity and if they were to not know that a small stomach is your "normal" it could cause all kinds of red flags.....its all personal preference

My doctor's office suggested one because due to the sleeve they said we are not suppose to have a blind NG tube, they said if they aren't careful the NG tube could puncture your new stomach.

It was highly suggested by my doctor's office to get one. I plan on getting one before my procedure but that is my preference.
