I suck...

At sticking to this pre-op diet. I'm seriously losing my mind over here. It's not necessarily the diet but it's all this **** I'm having to deal with right now on top of the diet (personal life issues, preparing for surgery, paying bills before surgery, etc.) I just keep cheating and feeling horrible, cheating and feeling horrible. I don't understand why I can't just stick to it! I crack under pressure a lot and the stress I'm having to deal with is really getting to me. Oh not to mention I'm PMSing. My boyfriend hates me right now, I've been such a b***h! I just want this surgery to be over with but then at the same time I'm having second thoughts. I'm worried I'm gonna be one of those people that just constantly pushes the limit on food. Ugh I shouldn't even be thinking like this. I DON'T want to be like this. I just have no willpower and it just makes me depressed. Honestly I don't care if I'm fat, I've never had a problem with how I look. I'm getting this surgery for my health. I feel like I should mean more to me and I should take this diet more seriously but yet I just ate fried rice on Sunday. I feel pathetic right now :/

Jeez that was long and I could just keep going! So many thoughts running through my head, May 28th can't come soon enough!

Thank you to anyone who actually takes the time to read this.

You don't suck. You're human and like many of us here, we are here because we have a problem with food. Liz is right, try your best, fight as much as you can, if you fall off the bandwagon, dust yours

I'm not sure what pre surgery diet you are doing but I have not has trouble with mine so far and I started it last Wed. I guess I thought you had to be strict with the diet so I haven't cheated at all

  • Seriously thank you all so much. This made me feel alot better.

I'm Liz and I'm the one that sucks, lol.

My bad! Lol! Yes, it's tough, but I think you're doing a great job. Some people don't even have a pre-op diet and they come out fine. I'm not saying not to follow your doctor's instructions or to br carefree, I'm just saying that I agree with you...you're being a little to hard on yourself. Acknowledge the mistake, get back on and continue. If you fall off again, correct it again. You're going to be fine!

Seriously thank you all so much. This made me feel alot better.

sorry about the liquid diet. I didnt have to do one after I lost 20lbs before hand. The doctor just said no liquid diet and told me to eat whatever I want before 10pm the day before surgery. That moring I want to IHOP had all you can eat pancakes. then that night I had pizza and hot wings.

After surgery I followed everything to a T. in 4 months I lost 85lbs a total of 105lbs. So just because you cheat doesnt mean anyhting in my eyes.

You will do great Liz it is true a lot of people don't even have a pre-surgery diet. Only 1 more week. Yahoo!

Oh wow! If only that we're my situation :P lol. Awesome job on your success btw!

Don't beat yourself up. My surgery is on the 27th and I haven't followed my liquid diet one day yet. I end up eating an egg or some chicken. Or a whole avocado like last night. Some Dr;s don;t have a 2 week pre op diet, someone told me today that she had to eat yogurt and drink water for 3 days before the surgery and that was it.

Im not required to do a kiquid date..for now im on a 2 protien shake n a lite meal tillni get my date next month..the nutritionist said I will do a week semi liquid diet

I completely relate to this post but do have a problem with being fat and I am also doing this for my health. My surgery is June 18th how did yours go?

Ramirelek, put this post in "vertical sleeve talk lounge" and give it a title and that way you will get more responses.

My first question is what country is it that your husband wants it take your daughter to.. Without any of your family along too?

Are you a citizen of Columbia like you husband?

Well.. I don't have any answers and I'm not sure others will see this post because its not in the right place to be noticed. Good luck :D
