Starting pureed foods

So I mash up my ff cottage cheese well and then chew well too. It feels like it sits in my esophagus? Is that normal?

I am experiencing the same thing..everyone says I am eating too fast or too much..I really don't think I am..I have a timer that goes off every 2 min for each bite..I am only getting in about 500 calories a day..and 400 of it are Protein shakes... :( and then when I do "eat" I feel like I am gonna gain weight which is crazy because who gains from eating 100 calories worth of food??? I think I over think...lol

have you tried using a baby spoon? I use a baby spoon and only eat about 1/4 - 1/3 of a baby spoonful at a time
