Help! First date after weightloss

I am 8 months out and I've been single for 4 months. I am going on a first date tonight with someone I just met online on Match. I am so nervous. Insecure. I've gone from 265 to 185 lbs and feel great, but not dating great. Not sure either on how am I gonna explain the small amount of food I'll be able to consume. I think a first date is too soon to tell someone I had gastric surgery. Please help me!!!!

Hi Kiki, I agree, I would not tell him about your surgery this soon. Aside from that, just relax and try to enjoy yourself. The most attractive quality we can possess is confidence and you have a lot to be confident about!! You have been on a journey the last 8 months and this is a great way to celebrate where your journey has brought you so far. I am proud of you!!!

I'm also going on my first two dates this weekend I'm three weeks out. Just be confident in yourself. They want to go out for a reason and if you don't want to tell them a out your surgery then don't. He obviously has an I retest in you for more then just your looks, have fun!

At 8 months post op your meal shouldn't raise any red flags. While your portion will be small it won't be alarming. Try ordering a soup or appetizer. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
