  1. Today is my 8th week since my surgery. Two months. I've lost 32 lbs. Although I am so happy with the weight loss, I expected to be a bit further. How is everyone else doing? How many cals, and how much are u working out? To all of you around the two month mark, congrats!! We have survived so far. for those further ahead, what where your stats at this stage? I started at 262 lbs, currently 229 lbs. Eating 600 cal a day. Walking 20 min a day.
  2. Childbirth. Definitely. There was no pain with the Gastric Sleeve Surgery. I was uncomfortable after surgery, sometimes very uncomfortable. But it wasn't painful.
  3. I see your point and good intentions. Don't get upset. Like someone else here said, if you see some thread you think is wrong, just roll your eyes and pass on it. At the end neither the poster or you will feel good about a comment that expresses dissaproval which such conviction. Hopefully all of us that have cheated at some point will not suffer for it long term for it. Right? Sending good wishes your way
  4. I am 7 weeks out and I have never gotten sick. Its hard for me to tell my "full" signal, but then I never eat over 4 oz or 1/2 cup. For the first time, I ate like maybe 2/3 of a cup. I didn't feel any different the first few minutes, but quickly I realized that I had eaten too much. My tummy is making these alien-like loud noises, and I am breathing deeply so it all doesn't come right up. At risk of sounding like a child, I am scared of getting sick. I've read is quite awful after gastric sleeve. What can I do to make it feel better!!! I feel yucky!!!!!!
  5. I got chills for 2 weeks, especially at night. It gets better.
  6. Whoa!!! Those chicken mushroom crepes look delicious!!! I also have a crepe left over, I shall try your recipe tomorrow...
  7. Could you guys share your vitamins/meds routines? When is the best tine to take them? When do you eat/drink? With 5 small meals a day and not being able to drink half hour before and after, that means that out of my waking day I can't drink for at least 5 hrs (add time spent eating). I've gotten dehydrated a couple of times so my doc said that for the moment, forget about the no drinking /eating rule. Any of you heard of that?
  8. My doctor never said it was off limits. He said one or two cups a day right after surgery was fine...if it was appetizing to me. I tried having coffee, but it didn't taste/sit good until 4 weeks out.
  9. Discovered this recipe yesterday on line and tried it today. There are crepes made out ricotta cheese and eggs. They look like whole wheat crepes/tortillas!!! And the flavor is delicious. It is just great to find a carb free option to make wraps. I thought I'd share: http://www.cafenilson.com/2009/04/low-carb-almost-sugarless-flourless-crepes/
  10. You should be grateful. I was at a stall for 4 weeks.
  11. Highest 262 no pre op only liquids 2 days before surgery day. Weight at surgery day, Jul 9, 12: 258 lbs Current weight: 235 lbs
  12. That is impressive! Can you tell us about your cal/carbs/exercise routine?
  13. I am 5 weeks out. I am hungry ALL the time. But even so, you get fill up very fast, so don't worry about it.
  14. You all are wonderful. Always considered myself a rational person but his surgery can be quite the emotional roller coaster. Can't express my gratitude enough. Your responses do make me feel better and give me hope!!!
  15. Thank you for your support. I am crying feeling hopeless, but listening to you makes me think that maybe, just maybe, I am not doomed to be morbidly obese and uncomfortable in my own skin forever.
  16. For 10 years I sustained the same weight between 250/260 lbs eating 3,000-4,000 cal a day (or more!!) and not working out. Now, after being sleeved 7/9, I lost 18 lbs the first week, then 2 lbs IN A MONTH. How is it possible that I am sustaining 237-240 lbs (goes back and forth, depending on how much liquid intake i have) at 600 cal a day, 60gr protein, and working out? I log eerything into myfitness pal. My carbs are on the higher side 50-60 gr average (usually lentils, beans) but why would that matter if I am doing things SO differently and calorie intake is so different. I expected stalls, just not immediately. Loosing no weight this early on for so long makes me think, why even try? I've tried different things, such as eating more cals certain days and eating no carbs others. I hate my body and my body hates me. I hate working out any way and with no incentive to keep me going, well I am just feeling that I don't care anymore. I am so upset. I give up!!!!
  17. I timed mine. It lasted exactly 4 min., after which the psych, according to his report, noted that I was "highly intelligent". I laughed when I read that, not because I might not think that isn't true, but because he literally talked to me less than 5 min. I went to his office, filled at a small questionaire, saw him, and it was over.
  18. So i've read that many keep carbs under 30gr. How do you do that? You are just eating non-diary Protein?!! I don't eat any breads (well hardly), and get a great deal of protein from yogurt, cottage cheese, Protein shakes, low fat cheese, milk. The doctor is approcing that, but in doingso I am hitting 60-80 gr of carbs a day. For example, i ate today a small non fat Chiobani Yogurt that has 20 gr of carbs, 14 gr protein. That means than in order to keep carbs low, I'll have to eat ham, tuna, fish, beef, chicken, with nothing added to hit my carb limit today... Need some guidance here...
  19. That is EXACTLY me. Sleeved July 9th, lost 20 lbs, and most of that was from the first week!!!
  20. Congrats! How can i see your photos? I need inspiration!!
