Calling All March 18 Sleevers

I've seen many post with people sharing the same surgery date chatting. Love the idea and hope to get one going for our date;0)

I start full liquids on the 11th. And then if course nothing after midnight the night before.

I find it very interesting how different doctors pre op and post op orders differ for the same procedure.

My Dr. doesn't have a target weight - he wants me to eat a low fat/carb high protein so my liver will shrink so it will be easier to do the surgery. Also so I can find out what kind of high protein foods I like best (types of shakes, etc.). I think its weird to make people hit a target weight - if we could do that we wouldn't need the surgery, right?

HAHA...YOU ARE SO TOTALLY RIGHT. MY DOCTOR TOLD ME THE EXACT SAME THING. I JUST HOPE AT #217 LBS. HE WILL STILL OPERATE ME.

Hey all, I'm having my surgery on the 18th too. I'm glad to find the support here. Okieathart, I'm also from Oklahoma, but I'm traveling to Mexico for my surgery.

Today is the second day of my preop diet. It hasn't been too bad so far. There was a surprise party with cupcakes at work today, and I survived without cheating. I can do this!

This is the same as my doctor. No target weight and a diet high in protein low carb/fat.

well, i took before pictures, measurements and blood pressure for my journal. thought i better do it now in hopes of losing some pounds before the surgery. had a strawberry chike shake this morning - not too bad... ordered special k K2O Water from amazon, found chewable Vitamins i like with Biotin to prevent hair loss.

i now have this fear that something will happen with the scheduling/pre-op lab work and i'll be delayed - paranoia setting in...

Newport Beach' date='Ca. I live in San Diego;0)

Wish I could fast forward to my surgery date!!![/quote']

Who is your doctor? I'm with Justin Braverman at the new program.

I have surgery on the 27th and have to start my preop diet on the 13th. I really dread it because my birthday is on the 23rd and my son's is on the 24th. That will be hard to deal with (birthday cake and all that). I don't get why some surgeons make patients do it for 2 weeks (like mine) and others not at all. I am starting to wonder if I am doing the right thing. Really, I know that I am, but just thinking about all of the food situations that will be different makes me go into food funeral mode. Feeling anxious.
