March sleevers anyone?

After a long haul I am down to the final countdown 10 days and hopefully I will be in my hospital room recovering from the best surgery decision I've ever made I am overwhelmed with emotion mostly being excited and if I think too much I get a little nervous but I know that this is the best decision that I can make for myself and my future I'm not sure what I'm nervous of maybe the new lifestyle that I will be living but I know that that is what I need to do in order to be healthy this has been a long time coming I was supposed to get the surgery in July but I got tonight for my insurance company because they say obesity is a pre existing condition so we waited and resubmitted on January 21st I finally got the approval and had set up my surgery for February 11th but God had a different plan for me I went to the hospital the last Tuesday of January and found out later that night I need my gallbladder removed the thing that relieve me the most was that I found out that my bariatric surgeon was in fact a general surgeon and he performed my gallbladder removal surgery I know he's a great doctor and I am excited to have him working on me. So now I am fully recovered from gallbladder surgery and I'm setting up for surgery on March 6 it's the final countdown for me 10 days and I start my new life. How was every other March sleever feeling

Ohh noo :( at this point you have to be careful what you take. I would boil Water and humidify the crap out of your place.

How's everybody doing???

Still making final preparations for my surgery in just one day. Have all the shakes, powders and vitamins ready to go. Have the pain meds (liquid form), bag is packed and just need to copy a few documents. Will be at the hospital by 8:30 A.M. on Wednesday, surgery at 10:30,, provided we don't get shut down due to snow. No body here (Northern VA) can handle even an inch of snow!

I was sleeved on the 1st and am doing great! I was out patient. Went to the hotel 4 hours after surgery. Slept a lot that evening, but made myself walk to get the gas out. Saturday I only took 1 pain pill, but probably could have gotten away with just a Tylenol. Walked that day too. It was a harder day in that I couldn't get my protein shakes down and probably only 4 oz of water. Called my surgeon and he told me to try Popsicles and Powerade zero. Those were the ticket! Sugar free Popsicles work great! Sunday, I walked the mall and felt great! Today I drove my 4 hour drive home and it made my belly button a bit sore, but not bad. I got 30 oz of protein in along with about 20 oz of liquid. So, it's been easier every day! I also went to Denny's and had them strain their vegetable beef soup and just sipped on that and also their chicken soup on another day. That was heaven! I'm super happy and excited for my new life. Down 14 pounds since the beginning of my pre op diet. Yay! Good luck, you March Sleevers!

Sumsuz68 - I am so happy for you. Thank you for posting your progress and helpful tips on what works. My surgery is the 14th. I'm getting really excited but nervous at the same time.

Hi Everyone.

I have been checking out this sight for a few weeks while I move through the process.

Last thursday I finally got my date. March 18th is my day. I am very excited and more than ready to do this for ME.

In the last few years I was stuck in repeat mode. Maybe my own groun hogs day :-)

I would exercise then hurt so bad I couldnt exercise for a few days. I am talking walking here.

So i would not exercise, so I didnt hurt.

I am now down 15 lbs while moving through the insurance process. I walk 5 days a week. 2 times a day with a bypass vet.

I just want all to know its been inspiring to follow all of your posts.

I'm in my hospital room right now recovering!!! So glad the operation is over!!! Feeling good and pain meds are my friend lol. Ask me any questions since I'm living thru it as I type!!
