  • Perfectly normal! I felt the same way. Walk around your house as much as you can and the gas pains will get better. Drinking my liquids warm really helped me too. Hang in there!

  • All normal! I thought day 2 and 3 were worst. Walk. Walk walk and try really hard to get your fluids. Keep us updated but a week from now you will think it is much easier.

I haven't had my surgery yet, but I've had abdominal surgery before. I can't believe you are home....please stay up on your pain meds. Take them scheduled even if you don't think you need it. Do you

Do you have any GasX strips? I've read that they can really help. And make yourself get out of bed and walk. Breathe...hang in there. Do you have a heating pad or hot water bottle for your tummy?

Ditto above very normal we all have been there just walk and take pain meds - you have a lot of air from them blowing up your stomach to the size of a watermelon during surgery now that gas needs to come out. Keep us posted and take care of yourself.

I am 16 days post op and didn't feel right until day 4. It does get better. Hang in there.

I have not had my surgery yet, but I have had my gallbladder removed...they inflate you with gas then as well. I experienced gas pain mostly in my shoulder...very bad...but stretching and moving around really helps!! The pain meds didnt seem to help with the gas pain...not really sure why, but it went away within 3 days.

Oh how I remember 2 days post op... Memories...

:)

It is normal and it gets better. Walking really does help. Even if you're only walking a few blocks, do it. It helps the gas pass.

And smile. :D

Ditto what everyone says Walk as much as you can. This time next week you will feel much better. Hang in there

Hope you feel better tomorrow .. It's true what they say it gets better hang in there I'm cheering you on

Days 1-3 were the worst ... Once your 1 week post op it magically disapears ... Hang in there you will get relief soon ... Walk drink fluids and rest ...
