weight loss stalled

I am 7 wks post-op and I am not losing weight. I have only lost 1 lb in the past 3 wks and before that just 1 lb in the previous 3 wks. I weigh and measure everything I eat and most days my caloric intake is less then 1100 calories.

Has anyone else experienced this? I have spoken with the dietician about this and she said that it was common, but it is very frustrating. I think part of the problem is that I am unable to do aerobic exercises due to knee problems, but I am doing upper-body exercises with 2 & 4 lb hand-weights

I have lost 34 lbs since surgery and would like to lose at least 50 more pounds. Can anyone suggest a way to get the weight-loss to start-up again?

I am 67, 4' 11", weigh 180 lbs.

Thanks,

FrankieMark

yes it is common. you will continue to have them. sometimes so long you start to think you wont lose anything more. you will get out of it soon! keep your head up!

Too many calories! Lower to 800. What about Protein and liquids? You do not mention that. At least 60 protein and try for 64 ozs liquid, I have a problem with liquid myself.

Best of luck.
