February 8, 201313 yr Thanks to both of you!! So glad I found this forum to learn the ins and outs and for the support. By now you've learned that all we do is poop the first two weeks after that we can't poop any more without assistance, The first weeks we question things like "did they take out enough of my stomach, cause I'm still hungry" We all look for ways to get "permission" to eat things we can't. And when we don't do it we judge other people because we are hungry Oh and about four weeks out we get grumpy. And some of us run around here causing all sorts of trouble! But we all want to succeed and we want others to succeed !!!
February 8, 201313 yr laura-ven, you seem to know alot and I will def look to you for answers. my surgery is on the 25th. starting pre-op monday. any words of wisdom for while i'm in hospital and what to expect? i am a person who seems to want to know everything so i am not surprised...............

[/quote'] I wanted to be a hero and leave the hospital 1 day early.. But I stayed both days.. It's major surgery!! I guess I thought just because its laparoscopic it wouldn't be so bad! Morphine was my friend:) in the hospital walk,walk, walk, I didn't want to but it does help with the pain. It wasn't pretty and I had a few moments like "what the hell did you get yourself into this time Laura?" But if I made it, so can you!!!

February 26 so nervous and excited!!!!
