Thanks everyone. So basically none of you snack? I have 3 meals a day (BLD) but sometimes I need something around 3 or I feel sick or kinda empty. Does anyone of you feel this way? I also need something sweet later in the evening. One cube of dark choc does it - is this bad? Also does anyone have any sort of carbs?

Hi, I will be 3 months out on the 25th and I am at a stall going up and down the same 2-3 lbs for a while now. I try to focus on protein first but I do have a bite of this and that that have carbs in it. What is everyone eating? Should we be eating everything? I'm confused with the little amount of food that I eat that I should be losing a ton. Help!!!

Can anyone recommend a protein soup other than Unjury Chicken Soup that is good?

I had an abdominal ultrasound as one of my pre-op requirements. I was told it was to see the size of the liver, gallbladder for stones and kidneys. I have my surgery on the 25th and started my pre-op liquid today. So far so good. Not saying that I didn't want the pork chops and rice I cooked for my family today, but I just stayed in the family room while they ate. Day 1 down - 13 to go!

laura-ven, you seem to know alot and I will def look to you for answers. my surgery is on the 25th. starting pre-op monday. any words of wisdom for while i'm in hospital and what to expect? i am a person who seems to want to know everything so i am not surprised...............

That's awesome! Congrats! anyone have recommendations on what to eat for puree phase? I cant stand the thought of pureeing any type of chicken/meat.

So I met with my surgeon today to finalize paperwork for surgery on 25 th. I had to get an ultrasound as my last requirement and I did and I'm really nervous becuz the tech took a ton of pix of my kidneys. I asked him if all was ok and he just said the radiologist wud read it and send it to my surgeon. Am I paranoid? What if they found something? I have high BP and maybe it was something...... Ugh I don't know I'm just really depressed until I get those results. Anyone else go thru this?

WOW, John Latte, THANK YOU! I will be making my pre-admission testing appointments TODAY! I'm not going to lie and tell you that I am not terrified of the unknown. I think once it's over, I will be able to breathe. Until then, I know I will be a bundle of nerves. How did your surgery go?

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I change my mind at least twice a day and then I do the same thing - thinking another summer of not being able to do things with my family. Looking like this!

Does anyone take these vitamins? I read on their forum that it helped with hair loss. They focus on no ingredients from China??

I just got my surgery date which is Feb 25th and now I am having second thoughts and want to cancel. How am I going to make it thru another 26 days! I know if I do - I will regret it!

Hi Lauren, What kind of problems did you run into when you were under anesthesia? Did you have your surgery at Columbia or Valley?

Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid mine will spike on day of surgery and I won't be able to calm down. I don't do well in hospital settings. I just don't want my surgery cancelled once I get there. Haven't started pre-op diet yet, so I'm hoping between that and the med, it will be ok.

Thanks. So were you on BP meds before surgery? Was it stabilized in the hospital or did they have to give you meds? BTW - congrats on your weight loss! that is awesome! Just want to fast forward to my one year already!
