Stomach noises..help me make them stop!

I'm 12 days post-op and I just started school yesterday...it's embarrassing being in class with the stomach gurgles..will it go away? How do I make it stop? Gas X does absolutely nothing.

Wow - back to school so soon! Good for you! I am a little over a month out and just started getting the gurgles. Mine started because I began drinking coffee again. Caffiene increases the gut motility and once I stopped drinking it - mine went away. See if anything you are taking in might be causing it. Otherwise - I'd be interested to hear what others say.

There is no advice to offer, from my experiences. If you are just talking about the general gurgles. Sometimes they are telling you you have ate enough. If you have them as you eat or just after it might be telling you to slack off an ounce or so.

Hope that helps!

At 3 months out I still get them almost everytime I eat or drink...it is embarassing in class but I have gotten over it cuz there is nothing I can do...ill take some gurgling for the wonders and success I have experiences

Look into Prilosec - it's just reflex from the sleeve since we have such small stomachs

Thanks to everyone for your advice and sharing your experiences! My surgeon has me on Prilosec for the next 3 months and I'm still on clear liquids until Friday..then I move onto thick protein shakes and soups. So maybe my new stomach is just a pain in the ass.

I'm 7 months post-op and my sleeve still makes noises when it needs food! On the bright side tho, it is not as loud as it used to be.
