This got so any posts that I decided to talk to the expert. I work with my surgeon and asked him the question. He said alcohol too early runs the very high risk of causing ulcers on the staple line

  • Asking when it is safe to drink alcohol, eat a cheeseburger or anything does not mean one person is any less serious about this surgery than another. My best suggestion is always to follow what your

  • You are two weeks out.... I'm not even going to go here Nevermind!

I've been in enough brewhahas for one day. I figured I better not stir the pot anymore.

I was gonna say how much more lol you got a lot on your shoulders here lol

I think several of you are absolutely ridiculous. This girl asked a simple question: "what's the big deal." To automatically go on the attack reminds me of bullying. This forum breeds 'know-it-alls' and encourages those who seem to not have a life, comment on threads 24/7.

To answer your question, I don't think it's the end of the world! So you had a drink. It's probably a bit early. It probably seems kind of nice to see you can still enjoy aspects of your "old life." I'm not in the business of giving advice, but you might want to ask your doctor/nutritionist to see what they have go say to your question.

Good luck on your journey!

Wow. An ASDB person has joined in this conversation! Please ignore him, it's a psychotic disorder and he can't help it. Kflan has a good response

What's asdb

Anti social deviant behavior. A medical term for crazy. Unable to see the world in a normal way. Thinks the life revolves around them

Wow Now we have a troll. This whole thread is just woah! Goodnight folks.

How sad you create a fake profile as if today just to make comments !!! WOW get a life

If you do not understand why this is not a good idea at this point, I question what sort of preop guidance you were given. That being said we all have to live with our own choices, if you are drinking two weeks out and are not bothered by that who am I to judge? It's not what I want for myself though.

I have a serious question though, I really doubt anyone has said anything here that you didn't already know. We've educated ourselves and we've all been warned about the risks of bleeds and ulceration... So it leaves me questioning... What is the point of all this? I'm not one to exagerate and act as though you're failing, neglecting yourself, abusing yourself or any of those things but I really wonder what you are looking for when you make a post like this?

I realize we are all here for support, but its not as though you are asking this in the spirit of "Is this OK or not" You just threw it out there and defended it when people scratch their heads.

I ask this sincerely, because "whats the big deal" is painfully obvious, and if its not, you should have never been a candidate for this surgery. I do not understand why people go through the trauma of a surgery like this, make choices that are so blatantly poor, turn around and make a post like this and get upset when no one is really going to hold your hand and walk you through it. I'm not saying you don't have a right to post here on this site but I for one am tired of posts like these and posts like "can I haz cheezeburger?" clogging up the new topics lists instead of people who are actually serious about making changes in their lives.

Y dont u get on your knees and I will show u what life do I have

How exactly did you pass your psych evaluation to get this surgery, this has got to be a joke.

It's only a troll here to be a pain. This is more than likely a member who has already posted on this forum under their real name and wants to tell someone how they really feel or its someone who knows one the patients here personally. Either way it's silly.

I wasn't asking if it is okay, I wanted some feedback to see if anyone had any info besides high calorie intake and alcohol . And no this was never discussed in any of the classes beforehand . And if you you are tired of reading these posts than simply dont read them. There is a subject highlighted for a reason!! So you can keep scrolling when you see the subject alcohol of cheeseburger !
