Don't know if anyone has experienced this yet, so i just figured I'd tell you my story. I have gotten bronchitis every year since I've been 5 year old. No reason - lungs just always get the brunt of any cold. Anyway, since I now have such a small stomach the powerful meds that I need to be on (along with all the other suppl. we have to take on a daily basis ) really do a number on my sleeve now. Yuck - always nauseous...so just an observation about how meds you used to able to tolerate, you may not be able to now....ok - thought it was worth mentioning....Happy New Year to all...

What did they give you, augementin? I get bronchitis and lots of sinus infections and always get a strong antibiotic if needed. Didn't think about it doing a number on my tummy.

I do know that the lortab that they gave me my sleeve doesn't like that at all.

I agree about the lortab. It made me so sick so they finally had to give me Norco crushed up. But this weekend I was a bit stopped up so I took 2 colace tablets and whoa!! Then they kicked in, I felt so nauseous, I thought I had the flu. Then all of a sudden I had to go to the bathroom and needless to say, Im not stopped up any longer (sorry for the TMI). I dont know if taking the normal recommended amount was a good idea. Did the trick but it felt like crap (excuse the pun).

I just got off of Levaquin ( antibiotics) & I was nauseous all 10 days ..... I am 3 months out

I had to take Biaxin last month and it tore me up. I ended up calling my NP and asking for a shot of Rocephin instead. She agreed that it was best.

I'm on a zpak now and it's not bothering me too much.

Mel - that's exactly what I've always been on, Leviquin. I'm trying to take it later in the day when I have a little more in my stomach & it seems to help a bit, but we will never be able to fill our bellies up to where we wouldn't be nauseous... Lol.

I've had to take bactrim and my surgeon told me to eat a few graham cracker bites before cutting the pill up and swallowing. It's hard to do but helps my stomach. I take a zofran after as well, it just melts under my tongue.

I took bactrim(sp??) & had to stop using it because it gave me a weird feeling in my tummy:-/
