special k or kelloggs liquid breakfast drinks

Are those breakfast drinks good for WL patients? I know I can have sugar free carnation instant breakfast but what about kellogs or the special k ones?

Premier is awesome and very appropriate protein and calorie wise. I would not advise any of the drinks that contain sugar but that's a personal choice.

  • Good choice!! They are my go to! Honestly they are almost like thin chocolate milk. No chalky taste- Mmm Mmm good

  • Not heard of it before but premier is 160 for 30 grams so it sounds calorie to protein ratio not so good.

I asked my dr today and they said stay away from them!! She recommends the premier whet protein or gladiator from smoothie king.

Premier!!!! The best tasting and pretty good as far as sugar and carbs.

I'm going to SAMs to get some tomorrow!

I drink 2 premier drinks daily which guarantees my daily intake of at least 60 grams of protein have been consumed. I love them...... it's nice to have the daily protein taken care of that way.... Takes the pressure of where food is concerned. I am 8 weeks out and only can eat 1oz of meat in a meal. Sometimes fruit or vegetable 1/4 cup. Sleevers is this normal? Can anyone help with this? Thank you.

That's very normal. It means you have good restriction. I'm four months out and I'm up to about 3 ounces of protein at a meal.
