Hello all! The Isopure isnt gritty, it just has an after taste like no other it kinda make your tongue dry. I drink it real fast in 30 cc shots! The apple melon isnt that bad and the rasberry is ok. I wish I could event something to go over your tongue and the drink goes right to your stomach.lol

I have surgery at 9 am. I have found the nectar chocolate truffle protein shakes to be the best. I hope I still like it after tomorrow.

At the hospital now....awaiting surgery...dressed out in my fancy gown....awaiting...the new me forthcoming....

My thoughts and prayers to all of you 'sleevers' today. Good luck to you all!!

Walking helps me with gas pressure. I don't do it every hour, but I feel pretty good when I do it...except dry mouth.

I'm home now. How are you doing?

Much better than I would have thought! I am a bout to go home. Slight sore tummy and my thoat was hurting until they gave me liquid Vic Odin, and now that is fine too. I have done a lot of sleeping and waLking. How are you doing? I hope you are well!

I think I am doing okay. I came home with the following meds: stool softener and Clear Lax, Hydrocodone Bitaartrate and Acetaminophen (liquid) for pain, Ondansetron for nausea, robaxin for muscle spasms. I also have enoxaparin (a blood thinner), because of a family history of blood clots. I feel a little overwhelmed by the meds, the Vitamins, drinking and "eating" liquid foods.

I did not get a lot of sleep last night. I would wake up for meds or to walk every other hour. I don't think I can lay down the normal way in bed. I am a side sleeper, but the thought of being extremely prone with all the incisions in my stomach scares me. I may sleep sitting up in a chair. Also, I have that breathing device to reinflate my lungs. I still haven't powered up to the level the docs want me to attain.

I know the next few days are going to be a big adjustment. Hopefully I can stay hyrdrated, etc.

Whew! I survived. Now the changes that will be the rest of my life! Overall, I am going ok. My stomach hurts somewhat and my throat really sore. Glad to hear everyone else is going well! keep in touch.

Yea! I'm glad we all survived. : )

My throat is helped a great deal by the liquid vicodin, much more so than the meds in the hospital. I slept on the couch last night. Not ready to lie down all the way yet, because I don't want to get up from lying down all the way. : )

I keep thinking OK, this is real. The surgery is done and now it is all about getting used to this whole new way of life. Even though there was a lot of practice before on Vitamins, Water, chewing, etc, this feels different. The fact that I only eat two little kids tylenol size cups of food and am full right now is so strange. "Eating" that tiny amount slowly is really important too. I feel fragile, but also very excited. Congrats to everyone!
