Help Please

I was just sleeved on Monday (11/19) and I am having a heck of time with getting fluids down. It flat out hurts with every sip. I have tried water, Gatorade, broth and even Popsicles. I'll be lucky to get 5 oz of fluid in me. I DO NOT want to get dehydrated but I just don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

My water had to be very cold....tea also worked for me...nothing in between the spectrum though.

Please call your Dr.!

Don't let your dehydration go on and get serious. He should have a number you can call for after hours support.

The pain could be coming from gas, too.

I was sleeved on November 12th and what really helps me are ice chips... I went to a local fast food place called Sonic, and they sold me a 10 pound bag for maybe 3 dollars. I really like the pellet kind... it melts fast... you don't need to bite it... and it remind me of hospital ice... Good Luck :-)

I had to have everything warm. Cold HURT me so bad!

Keep trying different things & different temps until you find something you like. Don't forget that jello counts too. Don't worry about if it isn't SF. Right now it's more important that you drink than worrying about calories.

I was sleeved the 19th too. I haven't had issues with temps. I've used SF popsicles, hot chicken broth, jello ect..... Are you taking it in too fast? It's really hard to eat slow! Can you really eat jello to slow? Call your doctors office ASAP!!! Getting dehydrated will cause you to go back in to the hospital!
