I am way tired... I force myself to walk around my block a couple times most days but then I sit around like a log afterward lol.

Glad it's not just me!! Im forcing myself to head to the gym now!

I have been so tired. I don't have the energy to work out. I used to exercise all the time before surgery. I can't even get through 30 minutes . Anybody else?

Hey!

I just started taking vitamins yesterday. Im hoping It makes a difference! I was finally able to get 30 minutes of cardio today. I switched it up. 15 of walking, 15 of elliptical

11 days post-op...went to Taco Bell today so I could eat with my husband. I ordered a chicken soft taco and a pintos and cheese. I ate the chicken out of the taco with a little sauce on it and about ten small bites of the beans. So far so good. This is my first adventure eating outside the house. Makes me feel a little bit normal again. :)

Sleeved Nov 5th so 15 days post op.. Headed to the gym this morning did 45 minutes on the elliptical & 10 on the stairclimber. I'm feeling great :)

Hi, All!

Sleeved 11/9, so I am 11 days out. Or 12. Whatever.

I've been on purees/mushies for four days now. Well-blended chicken salad, egg salad, scrambled eggs, soft cheese, yogurt.

Everything goes down just fine. My frustration is I am still really hungry all the time. Keep hoping it'll go away soon!

I would love to eat tomato soup and/or spaghetti sauce, but I was told no acidic foods until 3 weeks out, so 10 more days.

13 days post op.

One more wk of shake and anything through a strainer.

Doc was telling me about a patient that tried mashed potatoes 9 days post op is in icu for a leak. Not worth the risk imo

Being self pay not worth it at all.

I agree. That's some scary stuff. Thank god my will was strong enough for the post op diet of liquids

Mashed potatoes are on my post-7 days menu! Although I see all these people eating tomato soup, and I'm not allowed that for 3 weeks, so post-op instructions really do vary by surgeon. In fact, I just finished a few tablespoons of mashed potatoes, and I am 11 (12?) days post-op.

I think it varies with each surgeon / hospital. From what I was told, leaks are very rare. Tomato soup was on my pre-op diet, in fact they brought it to me while in the hospital. Mash potatoes were not. Surgeons preference I believe

Dam IPhone! I meant to say, your right. It does vary per surgeon. And tomato soup was on my post op diet

I knew what you meant!

And I was on clear liquids only in the hospital. It is amazing how much they vary!

I was sleeved on the 16th and I'm not having any issues. PTL!!!!!!! Today I started my 1st week liquid diet. 54grams I'd protein and 40oz of water. I'm about to eat dinner. No regrets!!!????

Clearly I have a very conservative surgeon, but I'm on protein shakes and clear liquids for 4 weeks post-op. I haven't taken a real bite of something besides sf popsicles in 5 weeks now :-). I'll be on blended foods another 2 weeks. Then soft foods another 2 weeks after that. "Regular" food 2 months post-op. Interesting....potatoes, cows milk, starchy veggies, and anything with >6g sugar per serving is on my "never again" list. Can't get over the differences in diet plans.

Oh by the way my dinner was a bariatric advantage banana meal replacement (reminds me if banana now and laters).
