Hot Chocolate

Hey guys - wondering if anyone has had hot chocolate (will use skim plus of course). Getting chilly here in NY & was dreaming of something nice & warm. Don't know how the sleeve will like it. Anyone try it yet? Was sleeved on 9/17..thanks!

  • Oh yea! I'm almost 5 weeks postop and I have been indulging in the SwissMiss Diet Hot Chocolate made with water-I add a little squirt of whip topping spray to the top and it is awesome!! Only 25 calo

Just had my surgery two days ago, and I'm feeling so nauseous. Can hardly keep anything down. How long before you felt somewhat human again?

I am 5 days out and feel pretty good still issues with gas movement it does get better day by day. Hang in there

You might also try a hot sugar free apple cider by alpine. It has warmed me up quite nicely' date=' with the heat radiating from stomach outward. It is very low cal also.[/quote']

Love this too!

Had my surgery on 9/10. Just had totally regular hot chocolate (not sugar free or fat free). Made it with 1/2 water and 1/2 skim milk. I had a fairly low calorie day and decided to splurge. It was great and no bad effects. Won't make it a habit but I see absolutely nothing wrong with occasionally enjoying something like that. It was a total of 155 calories.

I have hot oveltine many nights to make my protein goal. It's less sugar than normal hot chocolate and tastes lovely. I refuse REFUSE to drink protein chocolate at night time. Ok day time mostly as well....but my night time treat is just that, a treat, and with non fat milk it's high enough in protein and yet does not have that icky protein drink flavor!

Hi,

It will probably be a couple days but it will pass. It takes time for the anesthesia to leave your system and your body to adjust to the changes. if it lasts a week or gets worse, I'd call your your surgeon.
