Protein Shake Combos

I am two weeks out today and on full liquids. Can I make protein shakes with fruits like bananas or peaches mixed in with my protein powder? Didn't know if this would be to high calorie or not.

I wouldn't add the fruit just yet. Torani and Davinci have flavored syrups you could add. Go online to Torani's website for all their flavors, the sugar free. You can find some different flavors at the supermarkets. Try adding a couple of tablespoons of sf pudding, or some greek yougurt, or light yougurt w/o the fruit. For me experimenting was fun and delicious! Hope this helps:)

Canned no sugar fruit is added to my diet on puree stage (tomorrow-yaaa!) and I don't think bananas are recommended at all on losing phase (first year). My nut. explained they prefer their patients obtain a year after surgery from complex carbs-alcohol, pasta, wheat breads and certain high sugar fruits and veggies (sweet potato, carrots). I was blown away by the success of my surgeon's patients one year after surgery, when I went to WLS seminar in August- 95 lbs, 100, 125!!! They seem to know what they are talking about--and I'm all ears!!

I use Pure Protein Vanilla Creme powder & mix it with different s/f jello's or puddings as well as flavorings to make different kinds of shakes. Two of my favorites are s/f pistachio pudding w/almond flavoring and s/f chocolate pudding w/ 2Tbsp of Peanut Butter...One scoop of protein powder has 25 g of protein...sometimes I ad Greek yogurt 14 g and 1/3 cup of non-fat dry milk 8 g...so one with all of these has 47 g of protein. Another shake I like is pineapple Greek yogurt w/ s/f orange jello. I also have found that there is no aftertaste from this protein powder. Just some things that I've tried.

Your recipes sound great! How much pudding mix per shake? I would never have thought of adding Jello as a flavoring, either. Very interesting! I'll try anything, I'm not hungry just bored, but I know if I want max. weight loss (at least until Holidays!) I'm going to have at least one shake a day to keep calories low and get max. protein in. Thanks!

I'm five days out and put 1/2 c OJ, 4 frozen strawberries and two frozen peaches in a blender, add protein powder and make a smoothie. I've done this twice a day for the last two days and I've lost six pounds. I average 400 calories a day, I'm supposed have 600. The fruit contains pectin which will make you feel full and adds vitamins without stacking a lot of calories. Good luck to you!

I just sprinkle the s/f jello or puddings in the mix and either shake it in my Blender Bottle or I use the electric blender. I purchased a small container of the Pure Protein Vanilla Creme to make sure I like it before buying the big container. I am going to try s/f cheesecake pudding w/blueberry Greek yogurt.
