I like having an large egg scrambled with feta. On the side, I have 2 maple chicken sausages ( really juicy- from costco). In fact, that was my breakfast this morning! This breakfast is very filling as compared to drinking a protein shake for breakfast ( the usual).

I agree you're probably dealing with head hunger. One item my doctor's office recommends to help you satisfy the 'chewing' need/want. Try mixing jello with only the first water ingredient. Pour the jello into a ice tray to set then when you take them out they are more 'chewable' than the standard mixture. Stronger flavor but at least it gives you something to chew on. Good luck! Hang in there! (I'm starting week 5 post op today so I know exactly how you're feeling.) You'll get there; just give your tummy time to heal properly to decrease any problems in the future. Take Care!
