Constipated.... ?

My surgery was 9/12 a Wednesday - 5 days ago, I haven't pooped since 2 days BEFORE surgery, so a week today...

Is this normal?

I've been taking Fiber, all my Vitamins, and also have taken 2 Philips "help you go" pills...

I don't have a constipation problem. I drink a cup of decaf coffee several times a week and have never had any problem with constipation. Try some decaf coffee if it's allowed on your plan.

It is allowed, will do thanks :)

Remember noting in nothing out. Especially if you had a longer liquid pre-op diet and perhaps a laxative prior to surgery.

Watch it though, everyone responds differently, some go completely the other way and have diarrhea. I personally have had issues all my adult life and have found Chia seeds to be an excellent relief. They might be too much for you right at this point but if things fail to get moving keep them in mind.

Found some Chia Seeds at my local Walgreen's. I hope relief is in my future!

I tried coffee yesterday, and had a very small bm - like tiny with a lot of pushing. I might have to try the seeds.
