Wow Emma you must be getting excited/nervous! 5.5kg isn't too bad. I was pretty much the same as you at this stage. I drank heaps of green tea in the last few days and only had the 3 shakes a day, nothing else. Lots of Water, green tea and some light walking and you should be fine. I was a total loss of 6.8kg and surgeon said all was fine. Good luck!!

Yes excited, more nervous I think though. Glad the weight loss isn't too bad, good tip about the green tea. I have one day left so will give that a go. Thanks

Getting excited, though I think I had a gallbladder attack a couple of days ago, i've never felt pain like it! I thought i was goimg to die, ha ha! I hope that won't effect things for my surgery, can anyone tell me what the vsg pain is like?

Well my experience was when I initially woke up I felt horrid and had nausea but at the same time felt detached from it as you are still coming out of anaesthetic. But everyone is on board willing to give u all the meds u need. I had morphine for the first day and then just Panadol from there on out. I stopped taking Panadol a few days ago and I am one week post op today. If u have had a c section it's discomfort like that. It's mainly when u move u feel a pulling sensation but most of that has now gone too. It's not too dramatic, more just uncomfortable. I'm sure it's different for everyone but I wouldn't say the pain is unbearable. You'll be fine, don't stress :-)

I am also scheduled for Wednesday 9/19/12. Good luck to the others on the same day! Feeling very calm and ready for surgery. Not sure how much weight i will have lost on the pre op diet until then. I have 14 yr old boy/ girl twins who are Freshman and their activities keep me so busy and working too, I haven't had much time to think about surgery.

Ok thanks, I did have a C section, I coped really well with that. So this gives me hope, 10 hours to go :) I've been looking at some before and after photo's, the results are amazing! So I'm just concentrating on that right now and results I hope to get. Thanks again, that really helps.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
