Watermelon

Recommended Posts

You can, it's not advised though, because it's very pulpy. And pulpy stuff is hard to digest. Especially 2 weeks out.

If you do decide to, just chew it thoroughly and don't eat too much and you should be OK. But don't push things.

They fall in my puréed period if they are strained, unsweetened and puréed finely. And probably not laced with vodka lol (which is so yummy).

Are you in the puréed stage yet?

Pre-op but i will share this.

Last night I wanted to try some watermelon lemonade. I juiced the lemon then put it in the blender with the watermelon. I had some cheesecloth so I thought I would strain out any missed seeds or whatever. I had NO IDEA how much "pulpy stuff" would be left on the cheesecloth! It was a mess, I would not use cheesecloth again but a fine strainer thingee. SO if you were going to do it, i would be prepared to strain it. My surgeon just says that if I can eat it with a fork the first 6 weeks then i CAN'T eat it. And the drink was really good so it may be something I keep doing once I have a strainer. Good luck!!

I think that just means no sugar added.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
