Gown and socks on 1/2 hr to show time. Can you believe the gown i have on has an air hose attached to it to keep you warm?

Yeah, it's called a Bair Hugger gown. I heard a nurse created it, she was probably tired of going to get warm blankets for the patients. I know how she felt. Most hospitals have them now, since regulating temp decreases risk of infection and helps keep pain under control. Congratulations on your big day, and I wish you a speedy recovery!

It is so real now hearing everyone coming out of it. Thoughts with everyone going in today!

I'm having my surgery with Dr. Heider, too! :)

I'm in Charlotte, with Carolina Surgical.

Hello to my sibling October sleevers! Wow how our family has grown. Im on day 6 of 10 day pre-op and its so true the first 3-4 days are the hardest. As of this morning Im down 7 lbs. Im so excited and scared at the same time...just ready for it to be behind me. Hi Octosleevers, yesterday was a ruff day. My BP was up. I do not have a BP problem. It was my body's reaction to the pain. I am much better on day 3 than day 2. Going home today!

Good luck to all those being sleeved today.

You're with Dr. Heider there? That's pretty cool! My pre-op with Dr.H is on the 12th at 11:30 at LNRMC. What time is your surgery that day?

"CLTgir"l & "my time" are Dr.H's patients as well!

Are you on MyFitnessPal? If so, friend me: ANewMeAt42
