I Expected to have to wait at least a week or two! The best part is that I received the call as soon as we arrived at our vacation spot. It was just the news I needed to keep me on track with my pre op diet. The coordinator is trying to fit my surgery in 2 weeks. Woohoooo, I am super excited!!!

Where were you in the process when you applied? I have my first meeting this week. I think I have to do diet and counseling for 3 months or doc visits for 6 before I can apply?

I got my approval 3 days after I finished my last pcp visit too! I got a call asking me if I could start the liqid diet right away and was scheduled 2 weeks out immediately. Banner Bariatrics has been amazing. Anyone in AZ looking to get sleeved, I would advise starting there! Tomorrow is the big day! Good luck to all of you!

I had my first appointment in April, 3 months of weight management, pysc eval, nut counseling, endoscopy, pre surgical class, ketosis diet and a letter from my doctor. I made and kept every appointment right away and was very compliant. We submitted on my 90th day! I have a condition called idiopathic intracranial hypertension which is basically an invisible brain tumor, that can lead to blindness. Weight loss is often the only cure for it, this may have helped my chances but I don't know.
