My Journey

Six months ago I started the process to have bariatric surgery. At 388 lbs. I knew I had to do something to save my life so I started following the South Beach diet as directed by my Dr. and excerising. My goal was to lose some weight (10 to 15 lbs.) and have gastric bypass done to help me with the rest of the weight. I have surpassed that goal and have lost 80 lbs. so far (yay me!!) On July 11th I finally had a meeting with a surgeon and have decided to have the Gastric Sleeve done to help as a tool with the rest of my weight loss. I was given a surgery date of August 24th and am very excited to start this next step of my journey. I am setting a goal of 200 lbs. for myself and with some work and determination I plan on achieving this and enjoying a healthier life.
