  1. 8 months out and thankfully the loss is slowing not that there is much left
  2. Losing slow and steady to not losing for a long time. I'm okay with it I feel the slower the better for my body. It will come off eventually
  3. I'm at 5 months and have noticed my hair coming out, a lot of hair. I won't cut it it's very long. I had very thick hair before and no one has noticed it's thinner. Hoping it stops soon.
  4. June 4th today I hit the 70 pounds lost mark very happy. yesterday I had an angus burger for lunch only took me two hours to eat. but it has 25 grams of protein.

  11. My favorite thing is getting on the scale and it's almost always a lower number than the day before., My least favorite thing is still exercising.. ugh...

  13. hello and welcome.. I had my surgery done in June. I didn't have to jump through many hoops to get approved but it still took a year to get done. Hope you don't have to wait that long. I would suggest you read as many posts in here as you can to help you with any questions you may have on your journey

  15. I had my sleeve done at Kaiser east LA I only had to drink liquids the day before and nothing after midnight.
  16. I chose the sleeve over RNY because of the mal-absorbtion issues. Also I didn't want my stomach floating around in there like an abandoned spaceship.

  19. My advice would be to relax and enjoy the experience. the nurses and doctor will treat you like a celebrity. They will make you feel comfortable and when you wake up you will have some pain and discomfort but every day it will be 50% less. You will be starting the best half of your life and you need to make it an exciting journey and let the scary stuff go.
  20. presurgery weight 285 6/04/12 date of surgery 267 as of today 232 down a total of 53 pounds!!!
