Jogging/running

Hey everyone. I'm about 3 1/2 weeks Post-op. I was wondering how long I should wait before I can start jogging or running. I have been doing a treadmill at the gym and just going like 3.0 to 3.5 with an incline to get some extra calorie burn. Any insite?

Hi, I'm almost 3 weeks out. My surgeon said no strenuous exercise that can jolt the body (such as ball sports, running etc) until I was onto solid foods (2 months out). He encourages walking, and I've been cleared for swimming and I've discovered on MFP that it burns more calories than jogging, who knew?

I was told i could do anything except lifting weights as soon as it was confortable, no weights till 6 weeks out.

I was told 6 weeks for more strenous exercise by then the stitching is pretty much healed.

Before that was just walking and easy exercise.
